Licence
What you can and can’t do with your purchase.
Licence · Terms of sale · Privacy & cookies
1. Who this licence is between
This licence is granted by Amanda, trading as ChicTemplateByAmanda (“we”, “us”), to the person or business who paid for the product (“you”). It starts when your payment clears. All products remain our intellectual property; you are buying a licence to use them, not ownership of the artwork or its copyright.
2. Clipart, templates and planners — commercial licence for finished goods
You may use these products to make finished goods: a new product in which our artwork is only one part of your own design, and from which the original files cannot be extracted or reused.
You may
- Use the artwork in unlimited personal projects.
- Sell finished goods you create — for example printed cards, invitations, stickers, mugs, apparel, packaging, scrapbook pages, flattened printables and client work.
- Sell digital finished goods only if they are flattened and cannot be edited to recover our artwork (for example a flattened PDF printable or a single combined image).
- Use the artwork in your own shop listings, social media posts, website and adverts to promote your finished goods.
- Resize, recolour, crop and combine the artwork with your own elements.
- Make finished goods for unlimited end clients (for example a stationer who buys once and designs for many couples).
You may not
- Resell, give away, share, sub-license or redistribute the original files, or files that are only lightly changed (including in bundles, packs, “freebies” or file-sharing groups).
- Sell the artwork as clipart, digital paper, sticker sheets, sublimation designs, PNG files, editable templates, mock-ups, brushes or any other form in which a buyer could reuse our artwork.
- Use the artwork in print-on-demand listings where the customer can download, edit or separate the design.
- Upload the files, or images made from them, to any stock library, template marketplace, design platform library (such as Canva or Creative Market) or font/asset site.
- Use the files, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune or prompt any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system, or to create “in the style of” datasets.
- Use the artwork in logos, trademarks or brand identities, or register any part of it as a trademark or design.
- Claim the original artwork as your own creation.
- Use the artwork in anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit or harmful, or in anything aimed at harming children.
3. Digital cards — personal use only
Digital and animated cards, invitations and video greetings (“digital cards”) are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only and are not covered by the commercial licence.
- You may send and share your personalised card with the friends, family and guests it was made for, by WhatsApp, text, email or social media.
- You may not sell, resell, rent or charge for the card, re-personalise it for other people, use it to promote a business, or remove our credit or watermark.
- If you want a card for business use (for example a branded greeting for your customers), ask us first — we can quote a separate commercial licence.
4. Apps, journals and planners
Web-app journals, planners and trackers are for the buyer’s own use (personal, or within their own business). You may not copy, host, resell, white-label or redistribute the app or its code. You may print pages for your own use.
5. How long the licence lasts
The licence does not expire. You may keep selling finished goods you made while you held the licence. It covers the version you bought and any free updates we choose to provide.
6. Ending the licence
If you break these terms, the licence ends automatically and you must stop using the files and delete them. Finished goods you sold lawfully before that point are not affected. We may also take action to protect our copyright, including takedown notices to marketplaces and platforms.
7. Custom work
Custom designs are licensed to you on the same terms as the product type they belong to, unless we agree something different in writing. Custom work is not exclusive unless we agree that in writing.
8. Credits
Credit is not required on finished goods, but is always appreciated (“Artwork by ChicTemplateByAmanda”).
9. Questions
If you are unsure whether your use is allowed, please ask before you buy: [email protected]. These licence terms form part of our Terms of sale.
