The rules for buying from ChicTemplateByAmanda.
Licence · Terms of sale · Privacy & cookies
1. About us
This website is run by Amanda, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, trading as ChicTemplateByAmanda (“we”, “us”). Contact: [email protected]. These terms apply to every purchase made on this website, together with our Licence and Privacy & cookies policy.
2. Who can buy — adults only
You must be 18 years or older to make a purchase or create an account. Our website and products are not intended for, or directed at, children, and we do not knowingly sell to or collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
3. Products
We sell digital products only: clipart, templates, planners and journals (including web apps) and personalised digital cards. Nothing physical is posted. Product images are examples; colours can look different on different screens. Please check each listing for the file format, size and any software needed before you buy.
4. Prices and currency
Prices are set in US dollars. If you choose another currency, we show and charge a converted price at our current rate; your bank or PayPal may apply its own conversion or fees. Where PayPal cannot take payment in your chosen currency, you will be charged in US dollars and the exact amount is shown before you confirm. Any VAT or sales tax due is shown at checkout where it applies. We may change prices at any time, but not after you have placed an order.
5. Payment — processed by PayPal
All payments are processed by PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. for UK and EU customers; PayPal, Inc. in the US). You can pay with your PayPal balance or a debit or credit card through PayPal. We never see or store your full card or bank details. PayPal’s own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment. A contract between us is formed when PayPal confirms your payment and we send your order confirmation.
6. Delivery
Downloads are made available on your order confirmation page and in your account (if you have one) as soon as payment clears. Download links are personal to you, may expire and may be limited to a number of downloads, so please save your files. Personalised digital cards are made to your details and delivered within the time stated on the listing. If you have not received your order, email us and we will put it right.
7. Your right to cancel (UK and EU consumers)
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content, this right ends once supply begins if you have asked us to supply it straight away and acknowledged that you will lose the right to cancel. At checkout you are asked to confirm this. This means:
- Instant downloads (clipart, templates, planners, apps): once you have agreed at checkout and the download is made available, you cannot cancel for a change of mind.
- Personalised digital cards are made to your own specification, so they cannot be cancelled once we have started making them.
- If you have not yet downloaded anything and we have not started a personalised item, contact us and we will cancel and refund.
8. Faulty or not as described
Your statutory rights are not affected. Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 (and equivalent laws elsewhere), digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a file is faulty, corrupt or not as described, tell us and we will repair or replace it; if we cannot, you are entitled to a refund. We will not charge you for this. Please contact us before opening a PayPal dispute so we can help quickly.
9. Refunds
Refunds are made to the original payment method through PayPal, normally within 14 days of agreeing a refund. If a refund is given, your licence to use the product ends and you must delete the files.
10. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account password safe. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, chargeback abuse, sharing files or breaking the Licence.
11. Reviews
Only customers with a paid order can leave a review, and reviews must be honest and about the product bought. We may remove reviews that are abusive, unlawful, contain personal information or are not about the product. We do not pay for, or edit the meaning of, reviews.
12. Intellectual property
All artwork, text, apps and content on this website belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. Your rights to use products are set out in the Licence.
13. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses (such as lost profits) where you buy as a consumer, or for problems caused by your own device, software or internet connection. Where you buy as a business, our total liability is limited to the price you paid for the product concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Customers in the United States
Products are licensed “as is” except as stated in these terms and to the extent permitted by your state’s law. Some states do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of section 13 may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms waives rights you have under your state’s consumer protection laws.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country or state where you live, and you can bring proceedings in your local courts. Please contact us first — most problems are solved quickly by email.
16. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order applies to that order.
